How Custom Photo Suncatchers Are Made

From a favorite photograph to a round glass keepsake: here is exactly what happens after you order a custom Lumera Ritual suncatcher.

1. Choose your subject and size

Select the custom listing that best fits your photograph: dog, cat, bird, wedding or family portrait, house, place, or landmark. Choose the available round size shown on the product page.

2. Send your photographs and story

Send one to three clear reference images after checkout. Tell us which facial features, markings, people, architecture, colors, names, or dates matter most. Strong reference images lead to a stronger design.

3. We compose the artwork

Our design team simplifies the photograph into a stained-glass-inspired round composition while preserving the most recognizable details. The first digital preview is normally sent within 2–3 business days.

4. You review and approve

Check the composition, names, dates, colors, and key features. You may request reasonable adjustments at this stage. Production does not begin until you approve the preview.

5. The design is printed on glass

Your approved artwork is applied to a single round glass panel with layered UV-cured color printing. Up close, the print may show fine pigment grain, shallow tactile relief, and localized glossy contours. The glass is then fitted into a black metal outer frame with hanging hardware.

6. Quality check and tracked shipping

Production normally takes 3–4 weeks after design approval. The finished piece is inspected, protected for transit, and shipped with tracking. Delivery is typically 7–14 business days after dispatch, depending on destination and customs.

Important material note

This is real glass with a UV-printed stained-glass-inspired design. It is not a traditional mosaic made from individually cut and soldered glass segments. Sunlight makes the colors and glossy details more visible, but prism-like rainbow projections are not guaranteed.
